If you're a newbie to vintage,  I can only suggest you loose yourself in this Dynasty inspired cocktail dress. Scared of the loopy prints of the 70's, holding back for fear that a Betty Draper frock will make you look dated, this dress is the remedy. Circa 1980s and a true  LBD that  hugs the right spots with a hint   of modest sexiness,  an approach not seen in today's fashion.  Strong shoulders keeping on par with many of the dresses seen at The Golden Globes. The power woman is back and she is claiming 1985 as her fashion year.

VintageShaun 1960's Italian Wool Coat

Take a look at this stunning wool treasure dated circa  the 1960's.  It was quite a  find as it is very contemporary but the quality, oh wow the quality. Lined in silk, and still standing as if it rolled off the racks just yesterday.  Made in Italy the tag refers to a store called Suburban which was probably a ladies boutique that sold high end top quality goods in fashion's glory days. I thought I'd highlight this piece as the First Lady was pictured in a stunning purple wool coat today.  Purple is the color of royalty and is one of the easier non traditional  primary shades. If you deem yourself fashion royalty like Mrs. Obama then this coat is for you.

New York winters are brutal. With less than a full month of true winter we have had over 2 feet of now and we spent most of December in a frozen tundra like state. One way I believe you can make these cold days a little better is with a statement coat. What's the difference between a statement coat and well a regular winter coat. It's called drama and flavor.
