Vintage Shaun Favorite Look Countdown Number Three
This favorite outfit is a two parts. Last year I attended the Stephen Burrows retrospective at the City Museum of New York, I knew I had to wear vintage. Why, vintage well I don't own any Stephen Burrows unfortunately and I feel if you attend a designer retrospective you either wear that designer or you go vintage. So while entering the event, I was snapped by Essence magazine. They loved the circa 1980s Givenchy coat, and inside, I mixed another 1980s piece, a silk animal print blouse with a contemporary skirt. Loved this look which mixed festive with cocktail and gala, I was neither under dressed nor overdressed just the perfect combination.

Vintage Shaun Top Five Favorite Looks Number Four
This cape like coat is one of my favorite pieces. Everyone thinks if you wear something it has to be fitted and sleek to look great but they forget that movement and fluidity like this piece make for amazing fashion moments as well. The coat is from the 1980s as is the dress which you can't really see. Both are classic in style and it's why I fell in love with both pieces. Favorite look number four.

Let The Countdown Begin: Vintage Shaun's Top Five Looks
As we countdown to the Vintage Shaun Pop Up click here for details, I wanted to give you some inspiration as to why I love vintage so much. This image was taken September 2011 outside of Lincoln Center for New York Fashion Week. This outfit was a combination of high and low, old and new and I love it to death. The coat dress which my vintage loving friend Ira, picked out on one of my very first huge vintage trips. The dress is from the seventies and unlike most pieces it was not love at first site. It was up on the site for close to a year, a friend in Texas tried it out, didn't care for it and finally one day I threw it on and I fell for it. In the picture seen above, I wore it with a pair of death defying high heels from Jessica Simpson called the Dany, my bag was Fendi, thanks to my mom, the belt Ysl which I scored at their annual sample sale and my scarf was Christian Dior. Euro label overload but only if you asked. Stay tuned all this week as I countdown my favorite vintage looks all in time to kick off The Vintage Shaun Pop Up Shop. Stay tuned!

Pop Up Video
Children of the 1990s do you remember when Vh1 had a show called Pop Up Videos? While watching 10,000 Maniac Videos or Bjork we learned random facts about the artist(s) and the production of the video. It was brain food for pop culture geeks, like myself and boy do I miss it. Well, since we are counting down to the week long pop up shop, we've dropped another video sort of like Bad Boy Records in 1996. Here's the Vintage Shaun Pop Up Video, now take that!
