As we countdown to the Vintage Shaun Pop Up click here for details, I wanted to give you some inspiration as to why I love vintage so much. This image was taken September 2011 outside of Lincoln Center for New York Fashion Week. This outfit was a combination of high and low, old and new and I love it to death. The coat dress which my vintage loving friend Ira, picked out on one of my very first huge vintage trips. The dress is from the seventies and unlike most pieces it was not love at first site. It was up on the site for close to a year, a friend in Texas tried it out, didn't care for it and finally one day I threw it on and I fell for it. In the picture seen above, I wore it with a pair of death defying high heels from Jessica Simpson called the Dany, my bag was Fendi, thanks to my mom, the belt Ysl which I scored at their annual sample sale and my scarf was Christian Dior.
