Pop Up Vintage

 Calling  all vintage lovers, Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show is having it's first Pop Up Store just in time for the holidays. If you want to check out what other vintage folks have out there in the market head over to the Stoll Space at 250 West 39th Street Friday and Saturday and give vintage a chance.

Extreme Makeover

I have been looking for an animal print fur for over five years. When I see one it's usually very expensive. I am a bargain fashionsita and a thrifter so any  amount I like to refer to as expensive. While visiting one of my favorite shops and one I can not disclose, I came upon this  wonderful animal print coat seen below.

The Original

A true beauty that had been abused. It had holes and rips and tears and it was horrible. I still saw the beauty in it. I saw what it could become. After some serious research I contacted a fur repair deep in the heart of BK. Century Furs, a nice  mom and pop spot right off of  the Q line. The owner was able to take my abused beauty and reinvent her into a show stopping beauty.

Battered and Bruised

Older furs tend to have rips and tears in the sleeve and shoulder area. The shoulders hold the highest levels of tension and have the higher levels of wear and tear. I could have had the sleeves repaired but due to age, there was a strong chance that I would have to get it repaired in the near future. Instead, it was suggested that I make the coat into a vest which as you see I did. How I love it so, I wore it fresh out of the shop and I can't wait to wear it this winter.

I love this Ms Chaus dress so much, it was hard as hell to give up. How hard, well come Merry Monday, it's going to take a whole lot of team #vintageshaun for me to give it up. The color the fit, stunning! Stay tuned tomorrow to see if I gave it up.

Walking On Sunshine

I have been on this high since finding a new amazing vendor for my shop so sorry for the lack of post. Nonetheless, it has been super exciting finding all these great pieces like this stunning blouse featured below.



Vintage 1980s Yellow and Black Print Blouse



The graphic yet floral print is both bold and romantic at the same time. Yellow is a soft color and when paired with black it can very easily turn into a sort of bumble bee moment. Not here, the bold floral print just doesn't let that happen. Hurry over to the shop to view this stunning blouse as well as the other goodies posted for Merry Monday.
